DIY Honey Lemon Lollipops With Essential Oils

This is a perfect homemade sweet treat that anyone can enjoy! This was our first time making lollipops, and we must say; it was way easier than we thought! Feel free to use any essential oil you want, or leave that part out completely, it's up to you! Make sure you are using pure essential oils that indicate it is safe for consumption on the bottle label.

  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 5 drops of lemon essential oil
  • Silicone lollipop moulds
  • Candy thermometer

    1. Combine sugar, honey, and water into a medium saucepan
    2. Stir together with a wooden spoon until sugar dissolves
    3. Once the sugar is dissolved, place a candy thermometer in the pan and let your ingredients come to a boil
    4. While your ingredients are coming to a boil, get your lollipop moulds ready by putting the sticks in place (you do not need a non-stick spray with our silicone moulds)
    5. Boil until your ingredients reach 290 F (hard crack stage)
    6. Immediately pour into a heat-resistant measuring cup, add your essential oil and stir with a wooden spoon
    7. Pour your mixture into the silicone mould as soon as possible, and rotate the lollipop sticks, so they are evenly coated
    8. Let your lollipops sit for 30-40 minutes before removing them from the silicone moulds
    9. How you store them is up to you, but we wrapped ours individually in parchment paper

These lollipops only take about 20 minutes to make, and they're great for kids and adults with a real sweet tooth! If you make this recipe, be sure to tag us! Follow us on Instagram and Facebook for DIY's, contests, and more!
