quick tips for the best way to care for your diffuser

quick tips for the best way to care for your diffuser - - local - letsbelocal.ca

Diffusers are an effortless and well-loved way to enjoy the benefits of essential oils. Diffusers work by dispersing essential oil particles into the air as a way to influence mood and emotions, kill airborne pathogens, and create an aroma in your space. If you're an everyday diffuser user, say "I"! Now that your diffuser is a staple in your space, it's time to show it some love and give it a good clean. Here's how...

How often should I clean it?

It all depends on how frequently you use your diffuser. If you use it daily, we recommend giving your unit a good, thorough clean once a month to ensure a long and healthy diffuser life.

We also suggest emptying out any unused diffuser water when you’re done to prevent build up over time.

Cleaning instructions:

Cleaning doesn’t have to be a big deal. After each time you use your diffuser, just use a microfiber cloth or a Q-tip to wipe away any excess oil or water. For a deeper clean, follow these instructions...

  1. Fill your diffuser with 1 part white vinegar, 1 part water.

  2. Next, run your diffuser for approximately 5 minutes.

  3. Empty the unit, and rinse it with water (you may also use a soft cloth to wipe it down if necessary).

  4. Dry it and you’re good to go!

* For hard to reach places such as the diffuser chip, use a cotton swab dipped in vinegar.
