Calling all moms and dads! As new parents, you'll want to do what's best for your family and that starts by incorporating safe, all-natural solutions around the home. What goes on our bodies, goes into our bodies which means it's time to say goodbye storebought babycare products that contain harsh chemicals and hello to five family recipes to use with your newborn! Enjoy!

PRECAUTIONS

Babies have extremely sensitive skin, especially those born prematurely. Please take extra caution when applying essential oils. Before you begin, here are some tips:

  • Always heavily dilute oils (1-3 drops to 10ml of carrier oil for topical use).

  • Always conduct a patch test and observe for any reactions.

  • The best place to apply oils is to the bottoms of the feet where the skin is thick and the least sensitive. This is also a great place for quick absorption and effective relief.

Are your baby's teeth beginning to grow in? Try the powerful combination of Lavender, Copaiba, and Clove essential oil to help relieve pain and inflammation while soothing the jaw area.

Instructions: Add coconut oil and shea butter to a glass measuring cup. Create a double boiler by placing the measuring cup in a pot of water. Heat the water until ingredients have melted. Next, remove from heat and mix in essential oils. Pour your creation into a Glass Jar and let harden.

Both Lavender and Roman Chamomile essential oils are known to be sweet, subtle, and soothing for both the mind and body. Tea Tree (also known as Melaleuca) has Antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral properties which make it a powerful disinfectant used to kill germs, fight infections, and soothe your skin.
