Let’s start with, this year has been a CRAZY rollercoaster ride. 

It’s hard to believe that it has been 7 years since we brought you, our fellow Canadians, My Essential Business. We saw a need and we figured we should probably fill it (before someone else did)! We jumped right in with both feet forward, eyes closed, and no looking back. Not a day, a shipment, delivery, or a customer connection went by, that we didn’t learn something. We never expected what was to come from this “little journey” we thought we were taking. We set out to serve our community, but what we gained was so much more.

We grew up with our wonderful customers (you), our amazing employees, and our dedicated support systems and became a family. We watched each of you grow through your journey, whether business or personal, and it brought us so much joy seeing the changes that transpired. You were all an inspiration and kept us going as long as we possibly could.

Closing the doors last Spring was one of the most difficult decisions that we’ve had to make, but we couldn’t see any other way. To see all of the love and support that you shared brought tears to our eyes. We just couldn’t see how we could continue at that point – there was a huge increase in demand for the products that we sold and at the same time, we experienced a break in the supply chain. We were truly left with no option. However, in our hearts, we knew that this wouldn’t be the end but merely a pause in the journey.

We are so fortunate to have found passionate individuals, who are ready to grow on the strong foundation that we built and take My Essential Business to the next level of excellence. With the combination of our skill sets and experience, our powerhouse team was able to open the doors and warmly welcome our family back! With a very quick decision and timeline, we have tried to keep things as familiar as possible. We relaunched with our most popular products, and gradually, we will rebuild our inventory, with our primary focus being quality. 

As you have welcomed us back, we are also welcoming you back.
