Do you identify as a zombie before 9am? You're not alone! Luckily we've collected our top 3 healthy (and caffeine-free) techniques to kickstart your mind and body in the morning. Rise and shine, it's morning time! Find out which essential oil will put a little pep in your step...
how to energize your morning
hydrate
The first thing you should do after waking up is drink a tall glass of water. This will signal to your body that the day has begun, kickstarting your metabolism! The human body comprises more than 50% of water, so it’s important to keep it fresh and topped up to keep the body working properly. Rehydrate your body and increase your level of alertness with a morning glass of water.
deep breathing
Even just one minute of deep breathing will wake up your mind by improving oxygen flow to your brain. The more oxygen your brain has, the better it can function! Deep breathing can ease anxiety, release endorphins (natural painkiller, and stimulates lymphatic system (increases energy levels). Start your timer and breath into the bottom of your lungs.
peppermint essential oil
Our favourite awakening essential oil is peppermint! Apply diluted peppermint oil to your temples and the back of your neck using your roller bottle for an invigorating wake-up call. Alternatively, diffuse a few drops of peppermint oil in your home to help boost energy for the whole family. Feel free to add any other of your favourite invigorating oils to make a customized blend - we recommend wild orange! Tip: dilute your oils with a carrier oil like Fractionated Coconut Oil.
